Unexploded World War Two Bomb

VUS were working in the Derbyshire Peak District recently when they had an unexpected surprise.

We unearthed an unexploded World War Two bomb. After calling the Police the bomb squad cordoned the area off and confirmed the bomb was live.

The bomb squad returned the next day and successfully detonated it

The bomb was confirmed to be a live mustard gas bomb with 40 kilos of gunpowder, (for reference a hand grenade apparently has 3 grams).

Fortunately, no one was hurt and the job could carry on.
